Sales Development Programme ‘sells’ itself by supporting 10 local businesses

Ten local companies have successfully completed Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council’s (LCCC) Sales Development Programme.  

The Council is committed to supporting the growth aspirations of small to medium sized enterprises in the Lisburn Castlereagh area and the Sales Development programme is no different.  New sales are the lifeblood of any business and this programme is all about providing participants with both the skills and confidence to target new sales opportunities during and after the programme.

Lisburn Castlereagh Connects With London

Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council will visit London next month when it travels to the City as part of its ‘Cities Connect’ programme.

This year’s programme includes a three-day dedicated trade programme for nine local companies and a business networking reception at the prestigious Mansion House; the official residence of the Lord Mayor of the City of London. The theme of ‘Cities Connect’, encompasses the strong partnership between the two cities and the success of local companies in the UK capital.

2.5 Million Social Enterprise Adventure Centre To Create 50 New Jobs

Lisburn-based Social Enterprise Employers For Childcare is delighted to launch a £2.5 million build-project of a new family adventure centre called ‘High Rise’ at its existing premises on Altona Road which will create up to 50 new jobs.  High Rise will incorporate a Clip ‘n Climb experience, only the second of its kind in Northern Ireland, along with a soft play area, sensory room and a number of spaces for birthday parties and corporate room hire.

Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council’s Chairman of Development Committee, Alderman William Leathem and members of the Business Solutions Team recently visited Lisburn-based Howell House, the cakes and biscuits division of Irwin’s Bakery, following wins at two GB industry awards for product quality and customer service delivery. 

Speaking about the recent awards Alderman William Leathem said: “Congratulations to Howell House on their recent achievements.  The brand has become a firm favourite in households and it is great to see the business and employees rewarded for the high standards they have instilled in the business, both in terms of product quality and customer service.
